These Murderous Children Unfortunately Committed Unforgivable Acts

1. Kids Will Kill Ya!

Warning: If you already think kids are scary, then you may not want to read this article. Like, you know the regular “kids are scary” type of spiel. They’re brutally honest, they ask you all sorts of questions all the time without stopping and they’re just tiny humans waiting to grow into big humans. That’s not what we mean by “kids are scary.” These kids are actually really, truly terrifying and we mean it. Still want to take a look? Fine. Here are 11 murderous children who committed completely unforgivable acts.

2. Bryan And David Freeman

Because of their Neo-Nazi beliefs and their reputation for torturing and tormenting their family, Bryan, 17 and David,16 of Salisbury Township, PA were immediate suspects when their parents and younger brother were found bludgeoned to death in their home. Because of their strict Jehovah’s Witness upbringing, the two brothers rebelled against the harsh rules of their religion and became active skinheads. The deeper they got into their rebellion, the more Dennis and Brenda pushed to get their boys on the right track until the boys hit their breaking point and snapped, killing their family.

3. Edmund Kemper

In 1964, 15-year-old Edmund Kemper shot his grandparents to death in southern California. Because of his age, he was detained in juvenile hall by the California Youth Authority. He was diagnosed as a paranoid psychotic and was sent to Atascadero State Hospital for treatment. Over time he was able to make the doctors believe he had recovered and was released after five years. Kemper remained under the supervision of the Youth Authority after a panel of psychiatrists decided he would be no threat to society. Over the next five years, he killed and dismembered eight women in the Santa Cruz area and even carried their body parts around with him.

4. Joshua Phillips

In 1998, when Joshua Phillips was only 14 years old, he bludgeoned his 8-year-old neighbor, Maddie, to death and then hid her under his bed. He was caught a week later when his mother noticed something wet underneath his bed. Joshua said that he accidentally hit her in the eye with a baseball bat and then he panicked and hit her again and stabbed her 11 times. Sounds like a pretty bad accident.

5. Laurie Tackett, Melinda Loveless, Toni Lawrence And Hope Rippey

In 1992, in Madison, Indiana, Laurie Tackett, Melinda Loveless, Toni Lawrence And Hope Rippey kidnapped, beat, tortured, slashed and burned Shanda Sharar‘s body so badly that when she was found by two brothers in the woods, they thought they actually found a burnt doll.

6. Brenda Ann Spencer

It was Monday, January 29, 1979 when 16-year-old Brenda Ann Spencer shot up Cleveland Elementary School in San Diego, CA with a rifle. She killed the principal, Burton Wragg, and custodian, Mike Suchar, and wounded eight children and one police officer. When asked why she committed the crime she shrugged her shoulders and answered, “I don’t like Mondays. This livens up the day.”

7. Jon Venables And Robert Thompson

These 10-year-old boys had been walking around a shopping center stealing things left and right. Candy, a troll doll, a can of paint…and then they decided to steal 2-year-old James Bulger. Once they stole him, they didn’t know what to do with him, so they murdered the little boy by beating him to death, then they left him on nearby railroad tracks.

8. Jesse Pomeroy

Known in Boston as “The Boston Boy Fiend,” Jesse Pomeroy was only 14 when he was arrested in 1874 for the murder of a 4-year-old boy. Three years before this arrest, he was sentenced to a reform school for sexually torturing seven other boys. After his release, he mutilated and killed a 10-year-old girl before he kidnapped 4-year-old Horace Mullen, stabbed him to death and drowned him in a swamp outside of town.

9. Mary Bell

In May of 1968, Mary Bell strangled a 4-year-old boy named Martin Brown to death. On July 31, 1968, Mary Bell and her friend Norma strangled 3-year-old Brian Howe. Mary went back after they killed him and carved the letters “M” and “N” into his stomach. Then she used a pair of scissors to cut off parts of his hair and genitals. She was only 11 years old when she was convicted.

10. Graham Frederick Young

Known as the “Teacup Poisoner,” this English serial killer was only 15 when he was sent to a mental hospital in 1962 for his obsession with poisoning people. He was obsessed with poisons and tested his poisons out on his family and his classmates, making them violently ill. When he killed his stepmother by poisoning her tea, he was finally convicted. He was in a mental hospital for nine years before he was released. He then went on to poison more than 70 more people. Two of them, he poisoned to death.

11. Kip Kinkel

When Kip Kinkel was 15 years old, he was expelled for bringing a gun to school. He retaliated by returning with an assault rifle, going into the cafeteria and firing at students and teachers. He killed two people and wounded 25. When police arrived at the scene, he tried to attack them with a knife and begged them to kill him. When his house was raided, they found both of his parents had been shot in the head several times and opera music was loudly playing throughout the house.

12. Eric Smith

Eric Smith was 13 years old when he was biking to summer camp one day and came across 4-year-old Derrick Robie, who was also headed to the same camp. Smith lured Robie into the woods where he then strangled him and smashed his head with a rock, killing the young boy. He confessed to the crime several days later and has spent the rest of his childhood and early adulthood in prison.
